FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a synthetic focus group, and how is it different from a real one?

It is an interactive simulation: a human moderator questions AI personas that respond in character. It is a fast, exploratory way to surface possible reasoning, tensions, and trade-offs — it does not observe real people and its outputs are generated text, not empirical findings.

Are the personas real people?

No. They are statistically grounded synthetic personas derived from Korean census data. They do not correspond to identifiable individuals.

Can this replace real user research or a real town hall?

No. It is an exploratory pre-research tool — useful before or alongside real research to shape questions and hypotheses, never a substitute for engaging real people.

What about privacy?

The core product has no real respondents; personas are synthetic and grounded in aggregate census statistics, not personal records.

Which regions or populations are covered?

Korea, grounded in census statistics, today. Other regions are planned for later and are not available yet.
